Francisca Alarcón Irrazabal and Marcelo Torres are an Argentine tango couple based in Buenos Aires, known for their distinctive social dance style, representing the essence of grounded tango.
They are members of the El Cxuce Tango Ballet, directed by Vanesa Villalba and Facundo Piñero, and are recognized for their careers as dancers, teachers, and well-rounded artists.
They have received multiple awards, including:

2nd place in the Vals category at Tango to Cup 2025
1st place at Santa Fe Tiene Tango 2025
1st place in the Professional Tango category at Sonrisas Milongueras 2025
They were also finalists at the Tango World Championship 2025 and the Buenos Aires City Dance Championship 2025.
Francisca combines her artistic work with literature, while Marcelo develops his handmade tango shoe brand, Torres Tango Shoes.
Together, they teach classes, give performances, and participate in private events and festivals both in Argentina and abroad, including D’Arienzando Festival, Tango Maya Festival, and Teatro Metropolitan, among others—solidifying their role as representatives of today’s tango rooted in tradition.
